Biography

Katherine has always loved anything on wheels. Bikes, skateboards, rollerblades – you name it, she would try it. So finally getting her own set of wheels from Box Wheelchairs after years of not being able to participate in action sports was like a dream come true… now she gets to ride everywhere she goes! Riding WCMX since late 2012, Katherine has progressed further than she ever thought possible.
In April 2015 she became the first girl and the first person with Cerebral Palsy to land a backflip on a wheelchair. She placed 8th overall at the 2015 WCMX World Championships in Grand Prairie, TX, and is currently one of the top ranked female WCMX riders internationally. She loves traveling to parks around Southern California mentoring young riders, and hopes to get more girls involved in WCMX and action sports in general.
Katherine has skated everywhere from The Berrics to Woodward West to the famous Mt. Baldy Full Pipe, but her favorite skate spot is wherever her friends are. When she’s not backflipping on her wheelchair you can find Katherine kneeboarding on her Dogtown skateboard early mornings at the Venice Skatepark!
